Sweet Saturday: ChocoFruit Chocolate Covered Fruit

Hello lovely blog readers! Today I’m launching a new series here on Life with Laila. As a someone with the biggest sweet tooth known to mankind, this new series came quite naturally to me. Seeing as I love all things sweet, I thought I would share some of the best and tastiest treats I come by here on the blog. For the first installment of Sweet Saturday, I’m sharing my delicious experience with ChocoFruit.

Belgian Chocolate Covered Fruit Skewers with Candy Toppings

If you saw my post from Valentine’s Day then you already know that I’m a lover of chocolate covered fruit. If you’re like me, then you’ll love ChocoFruit. ChocoFruit create beautiful masterpieces starting with skewers of fresh fruit, including strawberry, pineapple, and banana, and then covering it in Belgian chocolate, and finishing it all off with fun toppings.

For my first experience with ChocoFruit I opted for a strawberry-pineapple skewer, with milk and white chocolate and marshmallows and their “bowl of happiness” topping, which consists of Belgian crisp pearls and smarties.

An Edible Work of Art

As you can see, this treat is truly a work of art, but it was also equally just as delicious. Just writing this post is making me crave another ChocoFruit skewer right now! And let me just say, their “bowl of happiness” topping is rightfully named as I could have eaten the whole bowl of crispies just on its own.

I visited the ChocoFruit stand at the South Bank Centre market amongst all the other food stalls set up. You can pick up your own treat from ChocoFruit on the weekend, from Friday to Sunday at South Bank, or at the Brick Lane Up Market on Sundays. I highly recommend you give them a try!
