With the new Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales movie coming out tomorrow, I thought it was the perfect time to bring back “Planks a Lot” by OPI from their original Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration in 2011. While this shade was originally released alongside the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides movie release in 2011, I thought it was a perfect pastel shade for this time of year.
As you guys already know, I do enjoy a good pastel polish during the spring time. That is why “Planks a Lot” is another perfect choice because it is a beautiful pastel lilac shade that has great opacity. A lot of times, the main issue with pastel polishes is that they can be very sheer due to their lighter shades. However, that is not the case with “Planks a Lot.” This polish has amazing opacity and you only need two coats for the perfect manicure.
This shade from OPI is slightly darker so it borders between a pastel and a light purple, but whatever shade you want to call it, it is a great color for the spring. I also really love this polish because its formula makes it super easy to apply which is always a good thing for me as I often find myself doing my nails right before I have to run out the door.
On another note, who is excited for the new Dead Men Tell No Tales movie release? I’m going to be doing a marathon of all the previous movies before I go out and see it, but I cannot wait to see it! It looks great from all the trailers!
