Nostalgic for Summer – Holiday Style

For everyone in the northern hemisphere, we are now well into Fall, and while I enjoy many things about this season, I can’t help but already feel nostalgic for summer. There’s just something so amazing about feeling the warmth on your skin from strong sun rays. That’s why I wanted to share these snaps with you from my vacation to the Maldives from earlier this year.

This was my first time visiting the Maldives, but I’m sure it will not be my last, as this place is truly the epitome of paradise.

Where I Stayed

During my trip, I stayed at Angsana Velavaru. While not the most luxurious of accommodation choices (especially for the Maldives), I would recommend this resort for anyone on somewhat of a budget, but still looking for a relaxing experience.

The best part of this resort has to be the beaches. I stayed in a beachfront villa which made entering the crystal blue sea a total breeze. I will say that if you are a foodie, you will probably be slightly disappointed as the resort offers very limited dining options (at extremely steep prices).

What I Wore

I visited the Maldives back in February, aka at the height of winter in Europe, but the weather was a dream on the island. Hence my outfit here, a palm-printed romper/playsuit from H&M, paired with a fedora from Forever 21, a gold body chain from Brandy Melville, and a pair of Miu Miu sunglasses.

This is one of my favorite summertime pieces and I can’t wait to pull it out again next year, or during my next sunny vacation. But until then, I will just have to live through these photos and my memories of the sandy beaches and warm breezes in the Maldives.

Is anyone else already missing summer and sunshine? Let me know in the comments if you’re embracing the new season, or mourning the end of summer.
